I and i'm sure others would to take led t8 bulbs form like HD and wire htem directly to the dc, led strip inside, without even having to deal with the 120 volt ac stuff, ballests, fixtures, invertors, etc.. just buy the 4 ft bulb, break open the end, find the right place to solder on the wires and use a 12 volt battery, or some old cells like leaf, calb, or lituium and do the right combination for voltage etc to power theses or get some kind of voltage controller to adjust. then just hang the bulb on the ceiling or what ever. I know you can buy led strips on reels, etc but thats messier.
