Australia is a different situation with EVs than other countries. We don’t
have incentives that create a stronger market for them. So uptake has been
relatively slow.
Zoe only released last year and too early for used examples yet.
Import rule changes now allow Nissan leafs to come in from Japan which is
providing supply but of the older models and more expensive than some of
the prices we see talked about in the US.
It appears to be a waiting game in Australia. Let early adopters buy the
expensive (relative) first vehicles and suffer the depreciation and
teething issues. Tesla 3 only commenced deliveries in Australia recently as
well. So maybe 3 to 5 years before we see them come onto the resale market.
