I wonder if those terminals were added by Fair Radio. They look like Radio Shack parts, and don't match the rest of the unit's "rugged good looks." But Fair Radio described those chargers (really just unregulated multi- voltage power supplies) as rated for 15 amps, not 30. I guess if you really want to read the factory specs, you could spend $10 on the manual that someone on Ebay is offering. On Bob Rice's suggestion Way Back Then, I put fans in mine, but have never quite had the guts to push them beyond 15 amps. Despite that, I've had 3 rectifiers fail over the years. Might have just been age, though. The charger's, not mine. The Fair Radio chargers were old-school boat anchors, but REALLY handy to have round the shop. There's not much to go wrong with them. They were a great deal at $50 back in 2000. Adjusting for inflation, that would be about $75 today. And one of the Ebay sellers is asking $250. Interesting.
