I bought a 2014 Volt December 2016 off lease. It only had 60 MPGe lifetime
equivalent since the previous owner put on lots of mileage which was at 51k
when I bought it. I'm now up to 118 MPGE and most of my driving is all
electric, especially since the pandemic and I have very few gas miles, most of
those are trips to my daughters house 66 miles each way. I'm now at 103,000
miles and have changed the oil twice and installed new tires once. I have
52,000 trouble free miles and I'm very happy with the Volt!

The big difference is: Gm and Toyota refused to sell their EVs early on, but
neither of them refused to honor warranties for batteries.
Yeah GM killed the EV1, but I think the Volt and the Bolt make up for that.
