Traffic Circles/Roundabouts are designed for continuous flow traffic, and when used in a system made for continuous traffic, they work fantastically. US roads, however, are made for "Packing", with timed traffic lights and stop signs causing vehicles to bunch up and form clumps, that are then run through the system together.
