It is not really a good argument in the debate of intelligence of LLMs though. I think that we will have to accept that intelligence is a sliding scale from Eliza to Chatgpt to your coworker who eats with his mouth open (and actually are functionaly less intelligent than any one LLM) to someone who have something useful to come with. Place yourself somewhere along this scale depending on daily form and time. When I am hangry I tend to backslide towards Eliza..... So is $[LLM] intelligent? Depending on context Yes/No Do we have a start of real intelligent behaviour? Absolutely. Rather brain damaged and quite autistic compared to a normal homo sapiens but intelligent.
