And 0.47 is 'outstanding' only if you think Uganda and Iran have a good distribution of income. Yes, the U.S. gini is the middle of the worldwide *range*, because the range is goes all the way to 0.7 (Namibia) to 0.23 (Sweden), but the U.S. is far more unequal than the other OECD nations.
