It's not sophistry. I maintain that the reason I feel myself to be me, now, and not one of the other versions of me who may exist elsewhere in the multiverse is trivially obvious, in the same way as it is trivially obvious why I don't feel myself to be any of the other billions of people in the world. The inhabitants of China are not me, now even though they look a bit like me, now and their mental states are a bit like mine, now.
