Sure, even under Bush, Terror won, for the simple fact he was reluctant to even name the enemy. Terrorism is a method, and not a person, and as you point out, and BHO and his party, come from a nuanced, progessivist, view, of focusing on a 'social democracy' which provides goods and services for the public, and also, the difficulty, paying for such goods and services. Better to tend one's own garden, then 'waste' needed public monies, and blood, on useless, foreign wars, eh? The political realm, is now ruled by the billionaires, worldwide. You mentioned one time, about your opinion about the folks at Davos (the meetings). I tend to be more suspicious of them then, yourself, for a variety of reasons. The old saying 'money changes people' seems to ring true, for me.

Against the jihad against freedom, one way, a bloodless one, to degrade the allure of the jihadist, would be to work on what makes the Muslim wake up in the morning. The afterlife is the core to their religion, even more so then Christianity, or any other faith that I know of. This is why I occasionally present, what must be groan-inducing, posts for you, concerning conceptual, afterlives. It could be pure platonic mathematics, or more dynamically, VR, uploads, cosmological data recovery, whatever? Success, such as we can judge it would have benefits, for ourselves, psychologically, but to the point, would act as incentive to reduce Jihad terrorism. It wouldn't work on everyone, especially, Islamists, driven only by hunger for land and power, and yes, identity. But it would serve to reduce, by a large fraction, those principally, driven, by an afterlife of, literally, wine, women, and song; as promised by Quaran, Soonah, and Buhkari.

In my nation-state, the US, a majority of the people are willing to hand over their freedoms for the price of a free phone, a food card, continued unemployment benefits. It may be time for the peoples of the EU to change their world view, for their own physical safety, as the US, through its progessivist, leadership, withdraws from the world. In the 1920's this policy was called Isolationism, and was promulgated by the Right, the conservatives, nativists, KKK. Today, its from progressives, liberals, Marxists, true Pacifists, and those who view the US as an evil enterprise, and here, I speak of some domestic US nationals.

I love the Americans, and some of their interventions, if only by gratefulness as they saved literally my mother's life about ten year before I came.

I hate the Americans, because they killed my mother, unintentionally though, and very slowly, by hooking her to the industrial tobacco cigarette. If some liars and bandits didn't lie on Hemp, and if the Americans would have offered a joint (tobacco free) of liberty instead, to my mother, or at least some wet tobacco in form of snus or makla, she, and my father, would most plausibly be still alive.

I trust the americans more than others to still lead in truth research, but surely something must be consolidated in the democratic system to avoid the possibility of such incredible propaganda. How in the Land of the Free could the people have succeeded in making the oldest medication and industrial product illegal?

On 9/11 the Nist reports doesn't answer many questions, and the fact that some want to qualify as "conspiracy theorists" those asking for some more explanations, is a bit of one more evidence of the use of lies and rhetorical tricks in the communication.

But no need of evidences. After Pr. Obama signed the NDAA bill. The bill defines a very fuzzy category of persons (the *suspect* of *threat*) and allow governmental powers (police, army) to get them and detain them for arbitrary period of time without trial. That is a dictator trick. I feel guilty having mocked the "conspiracy theorists" when I read their posts claiming such a bill was in preparation. Thanks God, Obama countersigned it and promised to not apply it. But then what does that mean? What about the next president? What is going on?

It is easy to modify the bill, and I have try to believe that it was a typo, but the administration refused to make the change.

The politics in Syria and Iraq seems to give power to the radicals and the fanatics. I am also against "isolationism", but as you say, you must name the enemy if only to be able to declare a war against it.

The problem is not capitalism. We can speculate, because there is no problem investing in some ideas which does not work, but NOT FOR TOO LONG, and that is why the competition must be fair, and people using money to lie or defame, on a person or a product must be sent in jail or at least fired. Money must remain a mean, never a goal.

There is nothing wrong with capitalism, as long as the main powers remain independent *enough*, and this suggests we should add some popular shuffling, well, we have to think about some way. We should vote for ideas, and not for people, perhaps. Here the existence of technologies add up to the uncertainties.

When you separate theology from science, you eventually give sophisticated technologies to barbarians.

I tend to love almost all individual humans. But I am less sure about the couple of humans, and still less sure about the triples, quadruples, and not mentioning the mob or diverse clubs. It is the fate of the Löbian numbers, the arithmetical reality is full of prisoners dilemma, and some, I bet, can get stable and develop on the FPI normal worlds/dreams.

Jihadi terrorism is a real threat, no doubt on this. But the point is
that there are growing evidences that we don't fight it, "we" seem to
exploit it for lucrative special interest (oil control, people
control, military-industrial business, etc.).

As I said, on 9/11 I changed my mind when Obama signed the
incomprehensible NDAA bill. It is a confession of terrorism. Obama
seems to say simply "we, the terrorist, have won". Since then I count
the evidences for all positions on that question. I am not sure the US
defends Israel anymore, or any democracies. They do dangerous fire
playing business.

Since the NDAA 2012, I can't help myself to feel that the war on
terror has the same aspect as the war on drugs, which I know to be
already *only*criminal fear selling, with the same "contrary" effect
in the result: more drugs, more violence, more terror, less security,
less freedom.
