It may be as you have suggested. What the world lacked backed then, was the computer revolution, which will eventuate soon, in a revolution like none other. I am guessing that whatever ISIS or some other enemy will be over-taken by this technology. A new technology that will be able, with some human help, to invent and uncover new things. On the other hand, if one's family is part of likely, on-coming attacks (which I suspect are on the way), then having a perfected artificial heart, may be of no consolation. Rank me as kind of pessimistic in that department, because as Bin Laden said, "People naturally like the stronger horse." Many peoples have always worshipped power, and have, or had, contempt for the weak.
