I don’t think that only mature-age people think that the fact that Donald Trump 
got elected is weird. Perhaps your theory can be ramped up another tier: not 
only does the world seem weird to the elderly but the more human civilisation 
ages the weirder it actually does become in some real sense. It feels a bit 
weird living in a pre-Donald Trump universe. Surely this weirdness is real and 
a metric of something
