Scientists never decree that something does not exist, but they will say
that there are a infinite number of potential things but we are finite
beings, so priorities must be set and some things deserve more
investigational effort than others. That's why many centuries ago
scientists stopped investigating the possibility that the Earth was flat
and stars are just white pinpricks on a black celestial sphere surrounding
it slightly higher than the highest mountain.
