Indeed, a point made clear by Putnam, and called functionalism. But that was obvious from the definition of a Turing machine, by Turing. Obviously, that is the least you need to understand that a digital machine (aka Turing machine, or combinator, or number, …) cannot feel any difference if it is run by a Babbage (coo-coo-clock like) machine, a quantum computer, or arithmetical true relation in arithmetic.
