And ICBMs can have multiple warheads and are so cheap you can have lots of them and overwhelm any possible defense. That's why Ronald Reagan's ridiculous Star Wars anti-ballistic missile program was such a colossal failure. And to top it off, air breathing hypersonic drones are far more expensive than ICBMs so you can't have nearly as many of them. So it all sounds to me like hypersonic drones are one gigantic turkey and yet another gift to the military industrial complex.
