On the LCS server you've got it set to connect via TCP port 5060, right? (LCS admin, right click on server, properties, "Connections" tab)
Did you add whatever SIP domain you used in ADUC for yourself in the LCS administrator tool? (LCS admin, right click "User Services Global Settings", properties, "Domains" tab. BTW, the first error after the initial install of 5.0 is "An HTTPS or TCP connection could not be made. Please wait for your network administrator to correct this problem". This seems to say that it's not connecting for some reason...
