I have used Entourage remotely to connect to my Exchange server. It
typically won't resolve .local domains all that well remotely (just as
an FYI). Not impossible of course, but with the root .local name servers
being down and all, it can be kinda tricky. There's your feature parity!
RPC over HTTPs... very tricky as well. See how much Microsoft loves you?
:)

While there are certainly a number of folks who share your sentiments
with regards to Microsoft's decisions around client platform for the
Mac, I am absolutely not one of them. Entourage offers so much more
possibility for the future than Outlook for the Mac ever has.

Conversation: Fully Qualified Domain Name and Macintoshes
Subject: RE: Fully Qualified Domain Name and Macintoshes

I didn't mean to be overly negative, but Mac OSX support was a major
component of convincing management to move from Ex5.5 to Ex2003, and I
do feel let down.

Admittedly, my goal posts changed (were changed for me), first it was
'find a OSX replacement for Outlook' then it was 'and this will work
remotely right ?'.

I just wish MS had made a corporate grade Outlook for OSX, they haven't
and I suspect it is a strategic decision not a technical one.

I may have another crack at Entourage/Exchange, we have a nice vpn which
would probably help.
At the moment, for OSX users, I am using imaps, smtps and owa for public
folder and calendaring.

Please let us know how you get on, I'd like to hear you say 'yay!
Works!'.
