LOL some of you guys are funny. You have successfully inflamed the new
guy. I know I am going to receive NO LOVE for this post, but the truth
must be said.

Banyan's Directory is what Microsoft has been trying to implement for
the past 10 years. The Banyan technology is still superior as evidenced
by the struggle of our efforts to do ([EMAIL PROTECTED]@* message) what I was
able to
do in 1990. I mean here we are over 15 years later and still can't do
it.

It's like the caveman (Banyan) invented the wheel but Microsoft invented
a marketing + a square wheel and is still trying to keep up as they
casually attempt to round the corners on their model hoping no one
notices.

The fortune 50 used Banyan Vines, the Marines used Banyan exclusively,
Verizon had over 1,500 Servers Nation wide, GE, GTE, a (insert sarcasm)
small power company in California that provided electricity to the West
Coast used Banyan vines... NOTE: even I realize I am saying all of this
in past tense... But I still receive emails from folks that have over
200 Banyan Servers being operated by 2 network admins... /shrug Welcome
to the new age!!! Microsoft has done two things, standardized the server
hardware and field of lemmings (my shop included) while cementing the
hatred of those who would travel 2,000 miles to Redmond just to spit.

I type this P.C. (Pre-Coffee) let me go get a cup of Java, oh wait
Microsoft stole that... <Grin> Is anyone else upset about the Java
situation? We know now that a "security patch" can also be a move by
Microsoft to avoid court judgments removing code that was illegal
(referring to Java code) of course after they do that non of the Java
apps. /ALE
