The only thing we have done extra, is to have contact points for the resources that can override and directly delete items in the resource calendar ( ie helpdesk or a PA) if the originator is away and cannot cancel the booking. See http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/skedresource.htm for other options, "Meeting Planner for Outlook" I did not know existed before buying ERM and it would be one product I would compare ERM with if buying now. This has the effect of not allowing other users to see the owner of the calendar item. Is there a "technical" way to restrict users from performing this operation but still allowing them book the resource thru their calendar as a resource?
