We have experienced no problems with the "Auto Accept Agent" and have been very
pleased to have it, being a "Fiscally" responsible (accountable to the public)
government entity.

As to the statement "I'm still confused how these packages set rights on
(resource) mailboxes that you can't set manually. Does it add attributes?"...
You can do this yourself, just give "Reviewer Rights" ONLY to the calendar
object of the resource, then set it up to automatically accept meetings sent to
it by your clients.

There was a paper written on the config for this:
How to Set Up a Conference Room as a "Resource" in Outlook 2000

And the sister page:

I agree. I've installed and used Auto Accept Agent, and it is flaky.
Sometimes you can register a resource, sometimes not. And doing the
registration requires you to enter cryptic commands at a command prompt, and
interpret even more cryptic responses from the event sink. When it doesn't
work, sometimes even deleting the resource mailbox and adding it back with a
different name doesn't work.

But, I only have maybe a half-dozen resources to maintain at most. And, it's
free.

Ed, thanks for the tip about ERM. You can apparently get licenses in groups of
5 for $55 each. I'll be looking into this more seriously next time one of our
Directors can't get their conference room scheduled.
(And nope, Directors don't get secretaries to do this for them - only the
Executive Director has an admin asst. We are non-profit, after all!)
