A SAN is no magical wonderbox that makes every disk I/O problem go away.
Please, please plan your disk i/o subsystem according to your usage
load, adding a little extra is also a good idea. Remember caching aside
were still working with mechanical spindles that can only provide so
much disk performance.

Don't drink the cool-aide, instead poor it out and make a rum and coke.
If anything else a SAN only complicates your environment, but
centralizing your data is a beautiful thing.

No.

But don't let the SAN vendor tell you that cache will take care of all
performance issues. Be sure you understand and properly specify the
underlying disk structure.

All,

Are there any special modifications you need to do to add your Exch2K3
to a
SAN? Please let me know.

Thank you,
