If you mean the 'balloon' that pops up, I like to disable all balloon tips -- it's a registry hack, albeit a fairly simple one. Check out KB307729 at http://support.microsoft.com. There will still be a little bitty icon doing the same thing down in the corner of Outlook but it shouldn't bother most users.
