Geni, It was not checked for this server. I checked it and did a backup...same results. I unchecked and did a backup...same results.

Just out of curiosity, is the checkbox on the Limits tab for "do not delete items permanently until the store has been backed up" checked? If so, try un-checking it. If it isn't...well, try checking it. See if that changes things at all. That behavior is odd, to say the least, since the store reports a backup completed.
