Apple has an big problem with it’s implementation of AS and maybe Outlook 2011 is also not working correctly (features are not implemented) due to some design flaws. In our case, Outlook 2010 and iOS devices, appointments can be “lost” from the calendar after calendar sync. It’s open for more than a year with MS and Apple, still no resolution. Shortly after that someone wrote an article saying that although it was made for Office 365 you could configure it using the Advanced settings to access your own OWA server. I don’t know what the issue is with Safari, but I know it has problems. On the iOS devices, you should be able to install the OWA app. Or does that just connect to Exchange 2013? Isn’t EWS also a Microsoft product? Exchange 2010 has been out for over 4 years. Outlook 2011 has almost been out almost 3 years. Am I wrong in expecting both issues (Outlook 2011 and OWA) would have been discovered and addressed in that length of time? IMHO it is a natural assumption that Microsoft isn’t making this a priority. After all, why should they? They’re not catching the heat from the users. Neither Entourage or Outlook 2011 will allow access to online personal archive. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/2003.clients-that-support-the-exchange-2010-personal-archive.aspx The more I think about this particular instance, the more I see it as a problem from Microsoft rather than Apple. Both Entourage and Outlook 2011 are Microsoft products. Why else would they have a product designed for a competitive operating system with limited features? The same with OWA on iP* devices.
