Oh? Recoverserver is necessary even if the box successfully removes Exchange from itself? Will I need to do any ADSI funkiness too?
I'm guessing you mean: 1. Remove Exchange via add/remove 2. Once Exchange is gone, disjoin the machine from the domain 3. Kill the VM 4. Build new VM with same name/IP 5. Install Exchange using the recoverserver option Sound right? Is the thinking that since I had trouble bringing this box up to SP3 it's safer to not trust it and just start with a new one?
