And they don't even return the subject of the message so I can figure out
which one to resend.

This very message happens to be one I created from scratch because it was
bounced by internet.com for having an attachment.  The message I previously
sent was a plain text message.  The next message you get from me in this
thread will also be one I'm recreating from scratch for the exact same
reason.

I don't have a problem with them doing it. I do have a problem with them
not supplying a bit more useful error message for debugging. It took me
the better part of a week to figure out what the cause was because the
error message was useless ("your message was rejected because it
contained an attachment" and I know there was no attachment), and
getting any response at all from the listadmin was impossible.

A useful error message or a response from the listadmin would easily
solve most people's gripes.

My $.02.
