Come on Bill. You know you like it. It keeps you on your toes. It's so
much more fun trying to guess which posts are going to make it passed
the screeners.

I just sent a reply to the list stating that maybe the internet.com
people had got their act together because I had successfully posted 2
replies directly to the list this morning.

That reply bounced.

So 2 out of 3 direct replies made it to the list.

I'm sending this to my custom recipient.

I've had that one happen too.

I bet someone over there is changing things on purpose to watch threads
like this. <g>

I know the ops manager for internet.com. I'll give him a call and see if
he's aware of the problem.

Another fun part is that sometimes you get the bounce message and your
message still posts on the list.

And they don't even return the subject of the message so I can figure
out
which one to resend.

This very message happens to be one I created from scratch because it
was
bounced by internet.com for having an attachment. The message I
previously
sent was a plain text message. The next message you get from me in this
thread will also be one I'm recreating from scratch for the exact same
reason.

I don't have a problem with them doing it. I do have a problem with them
not supplying a bit more useful error message for debugging. It took me
the better part of a week to figure out what the cause was because the
error message was useless ("your message was rejected because it
contained an attachment" and I know there was no attachment), and
getting any response at all from the listadmin was impossible.

A useful error message or a response from the listadmin would easily
solve most people's gripes.

My $.02.

Tom.
