So, lemme get this straight:

You have an application running that is actively servicing X number of users
and makes heavy use of memory cache. You order it to shut down and it
doesn't move fast enough to your liking so you just hit the power button
thus wiping all the transactions still held in memory possibly leading to
data loss or even database corruption.

If someone working for me did this he would get one warning.
