Jim,

Do you have any reason to believe there is corruption in the store?  For
example, are you seeing any Warnings in the EventLog?  Or are clients
reporting strange things like calendar items going missing?  If not, don't
worry about it.

If you want to run a check for corruption, just run the /g switch (as Ed
suggests, take a copy of the database and run the utility on that copy).

Again, unless you are short of disk space, don't worry about compacting the
database ...
