Stop what you are going and call PSS NOW! You are in over your head and risk damaging it further. Call PSS and they can walk you through everything you will need to do to safely restore services.

However, when trying to do a restore it fails to mount the store, however when I try to do it on the console it will not allow me to. I've read the ms knowledge base regarding doing a hard re-mount but to no avail. Is it possible to blow away the information store, then try to restore from backup.
