That was the first thing I asked him to do, possibly he did not wait long
enough?
Oh well, its functioning again. He claims it simply started working several
hours after recreating the account...

I've have found that many iPhone mail issues are fixed by going into Settings >
Mail, Contacts > sliding the mail function to off, waiting for the email to
disappear > then sliding back to on. No re-provision required.

No, but a quick google shows a reboot is suggested by some (really?).

At any rate, that is easier than reprovisioning the mb so its worth a try.

Thanks!

Not seen that, but is there a similar option that is in Android to remove cache
and data for an app on an iPhone? With android if you don't do that you often
end up where you started when you reinstall the account/app.

I have a fully patched 2010 instance where I did several search-mailbox queries
to remove some mail.
All but the last worked fine, the last query removed all the desired mail
however all remaining mail items
have blank content in the device.

While I was performing the search, I had a test vm open with an outlook client
connected to his
mailbox, it also exhibited the same behavior where email items appeared in the
list but could not
be opened. Closing OL and re-opening it resolved the issue.

I opened his mailbox in owa and everything was fine. We removed and re-added
the account in
the device without help. His device is running 8.1.2.

Anyone seen this before?
