To me that's always one of those grey areas. Legally they are on leave. If they 
start working, there could be issues.

They could also access their mailbox remotely to manage it while on leave.

We change the password and let the Supervisor monitor their mail through OWA or 
forward the mail depending upon the position.

We let the supervisor know the pros and cons and let them decide. Forward to 
someone of the supervisors choice or disable the account and email until they 
get back.

What do you do for employees when they take maternity leave?

Do you leave their email active and forward a copy to their supervisor/manager?

I am thinking that if I allow email to flow to the employee's mailbox it could 
quickly reach the mailbox limit...

Just looking for what others are doing.
