GOOD! Now that we have heard both the extreme views on Nagar kirtans, and if i may summarize them.
Pros- The Nagar kirtans serve the purpose of bringing heritage and history to our doorsteps. A sense of involvement for the next generation is important in keeping the religion relevant to them. They bring about a sense of belonging and glory associated with the community. They also make the rest of the world aware of our glorious Panth. Cons- They can be an inconvenience to the general society. The refreshments served along the way seem to be a wasteful expenditure which can be utilised to feed some poor. Conclusion: Everything Good has a fallout. As a responsible , young religion, we can weed out whats unneccesary and yet bring out the best . Satisfactory end of discussion for everyone, I hope :) Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji ki Fateh.
