Yes, and I have tried as another user, same thing.

I haven't tried xhost+ yet because I don't want to open up to the
world...
This was never a problem with RH5.x, now I have to be an XFree86 mega
guru just to get the damn ppp to work.
As I understand a token, or a cookie is written to $HOME containing
authorized hostnames, why does not KPPP handle this... As soon as the
link is up, I (root (!)) do *not* have the rights to make the damn
cookie... this sucks.
