I installed Mandrake 6.x about 2 weeks ago, and I have continually had problems
when compiling programs that use the function crypt(). I know the program
makes proper use of it, because I used to have slakware about 2 years and it
compiled fine. Now the definition of crypt is not being found, Im told it is
in the glibc libraries. Well it never found it, so I installed crypt
seperately from a rpm...and still no luck.
Added the line "LIB = -lcrypt" to the makefile...no luck.
Tried putting in:
#define _XOPEN_SOURCE (something to this effect)
#define <unistd.h>
Whatever the man page for crypt said....still no luck...
ldconfig -v shows libcrypt.so.* and libcryptlib.so.*...still no luck.
So any suggestions?
