My former employer (FORE) had directory enabled products that would
not "play nice" with MS (a major partner) and as expected it was due to MS
code being way out of spec. I leave it to you to guess which party had to
change their code to get functionality.....
We also had at least one MS application (albeit fringe) that
contained documentation stating the it would not function with MS DNS - and
they weren't lying.....
