Thanks Tim for the offer. I am having the following problem:

I want connect Linux box to my 95/98/NT network. NT Server manages the share
drives and printers and I want to connect to them. When I run smbmount, I
get the following message:

Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host fife
Failed to get my hostname.

Any suggestions?

Kevin,
Let me know if you get stuck setting up Samba for an NT network. I have
been
quite successful with it, and am now using NT only for BACKUPS
(Yeeee-hawwww!),
and authentication of passwords (at least until the new Samba with the full
PDC
support is released). We should probably take the conversation offline,
though. Feel free to e-mail me personally.

Tim
