I am at a point were I am not going to reinstall, if I do I will not be
reinstalling Mandrake.
This is also the second time this has happen to me.The only thing I can
think of that I have
done to cause this was increasing the font size.
This is a snip from /var/log/message

I hope this give more info into my problem.I would really hope the answer to
this ins`t a reinstall.
I have used Mandrake since 5.3 and been pretty happy with it up to this
point.
