I just set up dsl for my bro-in law and he used pppoe to connect.
I used the "roaring-penguin (no URL handy), which is what it sounds
like you are using. We were able to get it working, but the one
"gotcha" was that during the install program, they ask you to provide
a username, and the example they give is "username@accessprovider",
however, at that stage, only give the username. After that everything
(including the firewall scripts) worked like an absolute charm.
