I have a stock 7.2 install, X 4.02, all the update patches except for cups.
I keep getting dependency errors when I try to install that. Another issue
for another time. Does anyone have a stable gnome? I installed, both KDE
and Gnome, I have full sound in KDE, none in gnome. When ever I exit gnome
x-windows crashes. I compiled gnome-pilot with --enable-usb-visror=yes and
gnome-pilot-conduits. I can get the visor to sync and get the user name,
however, it errors on the office conduits when attempting a sync. When I try
to configure any of the other conduits, it crashes and complains it is
mis-configured.

I am looking for a way to use my visor info in an intergrated desktop and
gnome appeared to be ahead on this, but the issue with the desktop stability
is not leaving a good impression.

While jpilot is a nice application and functions well, it doesn't give me all
I want. Any thoughts, suggestions?

BTW on an old install, I didn't have much luck with kpilot so I figures I
would give gnome a shot.

Thanks,

Jerry
