But that's a nice way to do it, isn't it ? You can use graphical
ftp clients such as gftp over a secure channel etc.. 

Anyway, a solution might be to have a look at: www.ssh.com

Under some conditions, you get a free license to use ssh2 which comes with
sftp; in any case you can download evaluation versions.
