it's time to go to staroffice for a word processor.
My printer problem wasn't with CUPS, it was with KUPS, eg Mandrakes interface
to it. It crashes when trying to configure a new printer. If the mandrake
printer guru is reading this and wants the traceback, I can send it.
I was able to configure the printer fine with DrakConf, and running it under
CUPS works great, talking to the Linksys printserver just fine. Actually, it
works better and more easily than it did under windows, just another way
Linux works better on the network.
