-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Mandrake Control Center - been there, done that on 8.1. I found the connection sharing to be much easier to implement on 7.2. It was basically "plug n play" on 7.2 - all I had to do was activate it. Not so with 8.1. On 8.1, I had a client/server connection because I got a DHCP assigned address for the client just like I did with 7.2. And I could ping both the client and server. But, I couldn't ping the address of my wireless internet card, on 8.1, let alone any web address. Disabling the firewall made no difference.
It's interesting all the different experiences everyone has.
