I think this is your problem. I run StarOffivr all the time on Solaris. We never start it by rinning anything from the few files that get put in our home directories. As for the KDE stuff... I don't know KDE but on CDE, SO ads an Icon to the front panel at the bottom of thescreen that will start SO. Hope this helps. -Kyle
