I'm using both OpenOffice 641c and StarOffice 6.0b and see very little 
difference in the two. StarOffice does install JAVA beginning with the 6 beta 
and openOfffice does not.
Speed is comparable (PII 400 & Athalon 1200 systems).....
I'm sure there some features that are different but as a casual user I don't 
see many...
