That is exactly my point: as long as the windows box has a "bogus" ip address, it will not work. Jason must set the ip info, on the windows interface device, to read correctly. He has TWO machines behind the router/gateway server. Why in hell would he be worried about running a dhcp service? Just set up the windows box manually to some ip address in the 192.168.0.0/24 range (yes this means a netmask of 255.255.255.0) As in all things, keep it simple. Now if he can not manually set up the windows box with an ip of his choosing, it looks to be a windows issue. I will help him but we should take it off the list... -- J.
