That's the point...I get no messages, because MDK does stops installation right at the beginning at the point "determining pcmcia"...No matter how long waiting,it hungs there..(waited 7 hours something going further...no way) Have tried to change different pci slots,no effect. When I strip card and adapter,I can get MDK installation going ok,then I install adapter and card back, instal pcmcia-cs package, recompile kernel without any wireless drivers and voila',I have working wireless system... Card is orinoco silver and adapter is wavelan-pci,with TexasInstrument chipset.I have noticed, that adapter is more or less WIN type and that may cause the problem, but just wonder...In 8.0 installation went through ok,but from 8.2 up now 9.0 it hungs?Makes me thinking there's happened some kind of change in installation program? > I am about to try again - upon purchasing another pci-to-pcmcia adaptor. > If that fails, I will try USB which I know works (if you get the correct > wlan usb device, that is). Yup This is the point...If you find correct device....Unfortunately they are not all YET linux-compatible....But wil be... Jarmo > praedor
