mycal62: I've run every distribution from 7.0 to 8.2. Most of them worked very well right out of the box. 7.2, however, would always trash itself after a couple of days. I made a couple of tries, but ended up back at 7.1. It's too soon to tell about 9.0, but we're not off to a real good start here. Your assessment that hardware variations have a lot to do with it is probably correct. (And probably the origin of YMMV.) -- cmg
