You can get the 3 cd 9.0 set from Cheap Bytes or SpiderTools for $3.49, shipped. Just a thought, but perhaps it is a 2.96 compiler problem. As I recal, 8.2 used gcc 2.96, which had a few weird problems. I did finally get KDE 3.0.1 installed on 8.2, but I believe I had a problem with multimedia package too. IMO, 9.0 is much better than 8.2 was. I've never had a problem installing any package from the 9.0 cd's, and gcc 3.2. Are you sure the qt version is correct, and is already installed?
