Going from 250W to 300W cured the stability problems on my 900MHz
Athlon, which had frequently manifested as inability to compile things
like kernels and XFree86.

that too.  2.4 has been a kind of rocky road as far as the word "stable"
is usually used, actually had me considering *BSD for a bit until I
installed the stuff on some systems.
