Normally you see:

$ urpmi prog1 prog2
  downloading prog1
  downloading prog2
  verifying prog1
  verifying prog2
  Preparing
  Installing prog1
  Installing prog2
$

All I saw with that new version was:

$ urpmi prog1 prog2
  (Insert long period of nothing, but can see network traffic flowing)
  Preparing
  Installing prog1
  Installing prog2
$
